Beautiful large dark terracotta amulet of Phra Pikanet (Ganesh)
by the Most Venerable LP Suwang of Wat Prai Pathana (Sri Saket).
These amulets of the elephant god Ganesh (actually small votive tablets) are made of dark terracotta, consecrated during a ritual of offerings in the fire by the Most Venerable Luang Phor Suwang. The Venerable made these amulets from earth taken from the fields near his hermitage, dried them in the sun, then piled wood on the amulets, tied a Sai Sin cotton thread to it, and began to meditate while reciting incantations, after a while the wood would spontaneously catch fire and cooked the amulets. The amulets were then buried for years near one of the small secondary temples of Wat Prai Pathana, and only those that survived this shock treatment without breaking are then considered "active" and worthy of be placed on an Altar.
Rare opportunity to obtain an amulet handcrafted by the Most Venerable Luang Phor Suwang. Phra Pikanet amulets are known as good fortune amulets and as protections that ward off obstacles in the life of the devotee who wears them with respect.
