Krishna-shepherd : He is the god of shepherds.
(his brother Balarâma is the god of farmers).

Krishna center of devotion: He is frequently represented playing the flute, and seducing the gopis (shepherds).

Krishna is according to some traditions an avatari or the source of all avatars. Vishnu himself then becomes one of his multiple emanations.
