Yantra (sometimes also called Sungkhor )
are Tibetan amulets
composed of a sacred diagram on paper,
most often surrounded by a clever braiding of colored threads.

There are a multitude of Yantras with various magical effects.
because it contains for example the mandala of a specific deity
or a sacred diagram from a spiritual treasure (Tibetan: Terma ).
Warning: A real industry of fake Yantra amulets
exists in Nepal and India.
Indeed, paper and thread are not expensive materials,
and once the Yantra is in a waterproof reliquary it is impossible to see
that we bought a simple piece of blank paper without destroying the amulet...
